Leaving for Michigan to paint…then California…

It is nice to back in Springfield, Illinois. I have many friends and old stories based in that town’s buildings, parks, trails, and homes. I couldn’t ever think of not having that town in my life. No matter how far I travel, Springfield, Ilinois is always in my heart and hands. If you are ever there, ask me where to go and explore. I have very finite answers for you.

I have succeeded in painting a mural this week in a basement of an old friend. Kim Hartman is her name, and an excellent cook and good conversationalist. She talked with me for hours while I painted her adition to her basement. All black-lite paint. Pictures to be posted soon, I promise. Space was the theme, and depth was the goal. I think we got it.

My next trip is north for a spell. I have some work to do to fix my mural from the new window installation.  It kinda messed my painting…just a bit. And this hurdle only is testing my vigor and determination. I hope I pass.

Grand Rapids is a lovely city. And I miss Founders. I gotta get back.

California is another adventure…more details on that for later.
