Here is my first of five Lincoln Murals being painted for the city of Springfield. I am almost through all the Lincoln paintings I challenged myself with. So far so good. Pictured is Lincoln Number 93. Located at the Travel Lodge in Springfield, Illinois. I wanted to make a span between young and old. Past and future. The land between them is what ties Lincoln to Illinois. The Sangamon river in the dense forest of central Illinois, and the farm land yet to be cultivated, all pull the young Abe to the older Abe into a memory of the future and the past. I am proud of this one. I like it for the chance to paint black and white hues.
